Hele Ukulele

"Hele" In the Hawaiian language means, "to go". And that's exactly what I did. Last year the HeleUkulele tour started from the island of Kauai. I traveled there for a family vacation and along came my ukulele. I then traveled back to Oahu, from there Miami and Montana. Everywhere I went, so did my ukulele. My last stop, with an idea to give away my ukulele, was California. I played in a backyard BBQ with my cousin, who was then inspired to be an ukulele player. After or brief but rememberable "jam session", I turned to him, handing him the ukulele that I've been traveling with, and said, "Please, continue its journey for me." He did exactly that, playing it daily, and also traveling to Detroit and San Diego.

With 2017 being a new year I wanted to do the same thing, travel with an ukulele, and give it away. But, I was inspired to doing it on a bigger scale. I wanted to give this back to Hawaii, to the less fortunate and underprivileged keiki out here in Hawaii. So, what I decided to do, was bring attention to the ukulele and my goal in mind and ask people to help the cause. The ukulele then was put up as a fundraiser for my cause.
